I am nvisiting my fiance in Cebu, Where would be a nice place to take her for a short vacation?

April 6, 2009 - Posted in cebu vacation

I was thinking maybe Bohol, Camotes, Malapascua or maybe you could recomend somewhere romantic Cebu island itself.

There are many good resorts down South, whilst Moal Boal on the West side has some really excellent views. There are a fair few Westerners in Moal Boal.
Bohol is a good place to visit, and a short trip from Cebu. The Chocolate Hills near Carmen will be green this time of year. The "Hotel" there is pretty good as well, climb to the top for a good view (1268 Chocolate Hills in all). If you are offered the tour, make sure of the price, and the boat ride to the falls is always extra, but worth the money.
Now Cebu itself is an exciting romantic city in itself, and almost anywhere you go will seem romantic to your fiancee, Skakey's Pizza whether Colon, Fuente Osmena, SM offers good and varied food packages for all tastes.

Don't forget a visit to the Taoist Temple in Beverley Hills, the old Spanish fort San Pedro, Snr. Sto Nino, Magellan's cross, and a bit of shopping along Colon.

Some additional advice if you haven't been before, you can draw money from Equitable machines either from a branch or from SM (it's near the supermarket, between the ramp and steps. You can withdraw in amounts of P5000 no higher, over the counter is P20000 and above before 2:00pm, but you must fill in a form, and have a photocopy of your passport photograph page, which they will keep.
Enjoy your holiday.

Oh the major Philippine airlines have outlets in SM, and there is a travel centre + postage place on the South Side opposite Equitable Bank. the TC sells ferry tickets, but better to buy onboard – it's quicker by far.

  2. badian island – it's very romantic and it's in cebu. famous for beautiful corals, reefs, and white sandy beaches, making it an excellent diving spot plus you are secluded in an island. what more can you ask for. and it's not so populated compared to other tourist places.

or you could go to boracay, it's very popular in the philippines. she might want to go there.

  3. If she lives in Cebu, wouldn't she know what romantic spot to go to?

  4. Try asking her where she wants to go. She might like to be somewhere where she hasn't gone before. Bohol is nice and quiet and will give you a lot of time to connect. Cebu itself has a lot of cool places to go to. But, decisions are better made together.

  5. Shangri – La Resort on Mactan Island just off Cebu is very nice. Note that the prices are high. for the Philippines. The dinner was $50.00 for two people. It was a very very good dinner.

The Tambuli West resort has boats that can take you snorkling. I expect that they also have those available from Shangri – La Resort.

  6. I dont think there is anwhere better than Cebu or more precise Mactan Island … Check in to a resort .. expensive but great .. Shangri La is about the right place, high end price but good. The Hilton has new hotel which has a fine beach. Maribago Blue Water is good alround and at the lower end price wise unless you take a beach room. Have fun Its a great place .. I go to Cebu lots with my Filipino wife
